1. 가입 대상 및 내역

  • 대상: 2026-2학기 재학 중인 대학원 소속 외국인 학위과정 유학생
  • 민간단체보험 가입 내역
  • 보험사: DB손해보험
  • 가입기간: 2026.03.01.~2027.02.28. (1년, 매년 갱신)
  • 가입보험 세대별 구분

１） 2026-2학기 재학생: 4세대 보험

２） 2026-2학기 신입생: 5세대 보험


2. 보장 범위

  • 상해·질병 보장(사망, 후유장해, 급여/비급여 의료비) 
  • 외국인특별비용(상해·질병으로 인한 사망 시 본국 송환비용 등) 


3. 보험금 청구 방법 （붙임1-4 참조） 
 ① 외국인 유학생 보험청구 홈페이지(클릭) 접속
 ② 학번 + 임시비밀번호(111111) 입력 후 로그인
 ③ 홈페이지를 통한 보험금 청구서류 업로드하여 보장 청구

4. 기타 안내사항

① 2021년 3월부터 외국인 유학생 국민건강보험 의무가입 제도 시행에 따라, D-2 (학생) 비자 소지 외국인 유학생은 외국인등록일로부터 국민건강보험 의무가입

② 학교에서 지원하는 외국인 유학생 민간단체보험의 경우 국민건강보험 가입자의 의료비를 보장 대상으로 하므로, 외국인 유학생은 기존과 같이 국민건강보험료를 매월 개별 납부하여야 함

③ 다만 신입생의 경우 입국 후 90일 이내에 외국인등록 의무가 발생하는 점을 고려하여, 입학 후 3개월에 한하여 국민건강보험 미가입자 플랜으로 적용




We would like to provide the following information regarding the Group Private Insurance Program for International Degree Students.


1. Eligibility and Insurance Details

  • Eligibility: International degree students enrolled in a graduate degree program during the 2026-2 semester 
  • Group Private Insurance Details
     ① Insurance Company: DB Insurance
     ② Coverage Period: March 1, 2026 – February 28, 2027 (1 year; renewed annually)
     ③ Insurance Plan by Student Cohort: 
    1. Students enrolled in the 2026-2 semester: 4th-generation insurance plan 
    2. New students admitted for the 2026-2 semester: 5th-generation insurance plan 


2. Coverage

  • Accident and illness coverage (death, disability due to injury, covered/non-covered medical expenses) 
  • Special expenses for foreign students (e.g., repatriation expenses to the student's home country in the event of death due to an accident or illness) 


3. How to File an Insurance Claim

(Please refer to Attachments 1–4.)

① Access the International Student Insurance Claim Website (Click)
 ② Log in using your student ID number and the temporary password (111111)
 ③ Upload the required insurance claim documents through the website to submit your claim

※ Multilingual consultation services (Korean, Chinese, and Vietnamese) are available through the website and KakaoTalk.


4. Additional Information

① In accordance with the mandatory National Health Insurance enrollment system for international students, which has been in effect since March 2021, international students holding a D-2 (Student) visa are required to enroll in National Health Insurance from the date of their foreign resident registration.

② The group private insurance provided by the university covers medical expenses for international students who are enrolled in National Health Insurance. Therefore, international students are required to continue paying their monthly National Health Insurance premiums individually, as before.

③ However, for new students, considering that they are required to register as foreign residents within 90 days of entering Korea, the National Health Insurance non-enrollment plan will be applied for up to three months after admission.
