There are two dormitories offering comfortable living arrangement for medical students. Chejung Haksa is located beside Yonsei Medical Center, near the East Gate of Yonsei University. This dormitory, which was opened on October 1, 1974, was made possible by generous gifts from alumni and patrons of YUCM. who saw the need to provide the students with convenient accommodations suitable for their academic pursuits.
The dormitory is a six-story modem building (total area 2,920.5 m2) and accommodates 180 students. It has a reception room, a dining room and a kitchen, a recreation room, a fitness room equipped with various exercise machines, and an outdoor tennis court. LAN is available in every room.
In August 1998, the dormitory underwent major renovations, further improving the facilities available to the students. At present, the dormitory is a home to 168 students including 20 female students, and there are 6 guest rooms available for visiting scholars from abroad.
Mooak 3 haksa is one of the four Mooak dormitories located next to the Seodae-Mun community park near the North Gate of Yonsei University. This dormitory, recently opened in June 1998, was made possible by contributions from the alumni.
This facility (total area: 9,500m2) is divided into 2 buildings (5 ground floors and 2 basement floors): A for female students and B for male students. It accommodates 598 students and 242 beds are available for medical students. It has a prayer room, a conference room, a ping pong room, a fitness room and a study hall for the common use.
