The Yonsei University College of Medicine (YUCM) selects new students by two systems. One is based on advancement from the Department of Pre-medicine, College of Science, Yonsei University.
The other is based on admission of well-qualified applicants who have either successfully completed their first major at Yonsei University or have received a bachelor's degree from other approved universities in Korea or foreign countries.
The number of incoming students to YUCM totals about 110.
The Department of Pre-medicine admits 110 students every year through regular admiLslon on competitive basis from reviewing applicant's national scholastic aptitude test, a university-administered discourse test, and interview scores. In addition, some students among nationals living abroad. foreigners, people in need of special education, and rural residents are selected through a special entrance program.
The maximum of 10% of Pre-medicine quota is granted admission among applicants who have received a bachelor's degree from other universities in Korea or foreign countries The selection is competitively based on reviewing the applicant's university grades, English test, discourse test, and interview scores.
